Posh U18s to conclude their pre-season schedule with a visit from Kinetic FC.

Peterborough United U18s are set to wrap up their pre-season schedule as they welcome Kinetic FC to the idverde Training Ground on Saturday 6th August (12pm), with manager Jamal Campbell-Ryce pleased with the team’s development over the last few weeks.

The under 18s claimed their first victory of pre-season last Friday after beating Southend United 2-0 at the idverde Training Ground, and Campbell-Ryce has confirmed that he will have a similar squad to utilise on Saturday.

Janos Bodnar is set to be unavailable after joining Kettering Town on a youth loan and will be involved in their season-opener against AFC Flyde.

Speaking ahead of the match, Campbell-Ryce said: “You can never look too closely at pre-season games, I remember when I use to play it didn’t matter how good the team’s pre-season was, it didn’t have too much of an impact on the overall campaign. It’s just important that all the players come through it unscathed as we want to start the season with a full squad and everyone to get minutes under their belts.”

“We would love to win every game as that breeds confidence, but Saturday’s game is just another opportunity to get the team ready ahead of the start of the season next week, which we are really looking forward to. It’s also clear to see how much effort the players have put in over the last few weeks, seeing the difference of performance from our first friendly to now and we want to continue that on Saturday."
