Posh U18s face The Blues on Tuesday afternoon.

Peterborough United U18s travel to Wast Hills Training Ground on Tuesday afternoon (12pm) as they face Birmingham City U18s in the Under-18 Professional Development League.

The under 18s will be searching for their seventh consecutive victory in the league after a comfortable 5-0 victory over Colchester United U18s, with Benjamin Arthur netting twice alongside Reuben Marshall, Harley Mills and Tyler Winters.

Jamal Campbell-Ryce’s men remain third in the table, level on points with Sheffield United having played three more games than The Blades, and the under 18s manager isn’t looking too far ahead and wants to maintain their focus on Tuesday’s clash against The Blues.

“The objective is to try and finish second, but it’s just taking it game-by-game and being as positive as we can, trying to win as many games as we can before the end of the season. They will look at our recent results and we also beat them earlier in the season, so they will be looking to get one back on us.

“However, we just need to make sure we play our game and compete, then I back us against anybody. Unfortunately, I will be away with England for this week, so Hugh [Alban-Jones] will take charge of that game and hopefully get the same reaction out of the players,” Campbell-Ryce said.

The Blues are currently sat in eighth and were held to a 2-2 draw against Swansea City at the weekend, leaving them with only one win in five games.

Updates of the game will be provided as much as possible on The Posh Academy Twitter account (@theposhacademy).
