Posh face The Tigers on Saturday morning.

Peterborough United U18s will look to continue their impressive run of form on Saturday morning (11:30am) as they travel to Bishop Burton College to face Hull City U18s in the Under-18 Professional Development League.

Jamal Campbell-Ryce’s men are currently third in the table after three victories on the bounce, including a 3-0 victory over Sheffield Wednesday in their previous game, which extended their unbeaten to five games in all competitions.

The Tigers have struggled in recent weeks, only picking up one win in five games, but did claim all three points in the reverse fixture against Posh earlier in the season. The under 18s will have a similar squad that faced The Owls last weekend and will continue to welcome a couple of under 16s into the squad.

Speaking ahead of the game, Campbell-Ryce said: “All games in this league are tough. Hull City ain’t having the best of times at the minute, but these are the games that worry me the most. They will want to turn around their fortunes really quickly and we have the momentum at the moment, but it’s about keeping our feet on the ground, keep working hard and continuing the level of performances.”

“They are quite a direct team, always looking to go back to front quickly, so we have to be concentrated and not get caught cold. We need to be winning the first ball and just keeping pressure away from our goal, we have done that well in recent weeks and hopefully we can maintain that.”

Updates of the game will be provided as much as possible on The Posh Academy Twitter account (@theposhacademy).
