Peterborough United slipped to a 2-1 defeat at the Toughsheet Community Stadium as Bolton Wanderers claimed all three points on a wet and windy day in the North West.
Posh gave themselves a mountain to climb after conceding twice inside the opening twenty minutes, but a goal from skipper Peter Kioso reduced the arrears before the half time interval.
It was inside the first three minutes that the hosts exerted their dominance as Mason Burstow struck the post from long-range. Moments later, BURSTOW hooked a shot past Alex Bass from a right wing centre.
BURSTOW doubled the lead on 19 minutes, cutting inside and firing past Bass with his left-foot. JJ Morgan glanced a header wide and Ben Woods fired a free kick into the wall as Posh tried to get back into proceedings.
Archie Collins was denied by the legs of Teddy Sharman-Lowe after robbing a defender before KIOSO halved the deficit with a good finish after good work from Harry Leonard.
In the second half, Bass did well to keep out Cozier-Duberry while Johnston clipped the top of the crossbar with a clever shot from 25 yards.
Posh pushed late on with Kyrell Lisbie causing issues, but Darren Ferguson's men couldn't find a leveller.
