Posh will kick-off the Sky Bet League One campaign with a trip to Cardiff City on Saturday 2nd August, live on Sky Sports.
The game will get underway at 12.30pm at the Cardiff City Stadium. The Bluebirds were relegated from the Sky Bet Championship last term and are managed by Brian Barry-Murphy.
Luton Town provide the first home opponents on Saturday 9th August (3pm) meaning Darren Ferguson's side will face two of three relegated clubs in the first seven days.
Following the clash with the Hatters, it will be the turn of the Carabao Cup with the first round fixtures to be held in that midweek with the draw later today.
Posh will conclude the campaign with a home game against Grant McCann's Doncaster Rovers on Saturday 2nd May with a trip to Stockport County the final away game.
The local derbies with Northampton Town take place on Saturday 13th December at the Weston Homes Stadium (3pm) and Saturday 28th February at Sixfields (3pm).
Posh are at home on Boxing Day against Leyton Orient (3pm) and on the 29th December with Reading providing the opposition. Ferguson's men travel to Rotherham United on New Year's Day.
