Lincoln City v Posh

Posh pick up a point from a goalless draw at the LNER Stadium.

Peterborough United were held to a goalless draw by Lincoln City in Sky Bet League One action at the LNER Stadium with neither side really creating any clear-cut opportunities in the game, which was littered by stoppages.

In a first half of few opportunities, it was the hosts who had the first effort towards goal with Bishop firing over the crossbar from the edge of the area.

Joel Randall saw a shot from distance saved by Jensen on 16 minutes while Sorensen fired wide of the near post after a good strong run.

Erhahon saw a curler well kept out by Steer while at the other end, Posh were inches away from the breakthrough as Jones cracked a volley against the top of the crossbar after good work from David Ajiboye.

Burrows saw a shot beaten away by the keeper while on 53 minutes, Steer produced a superb stop at the near post to keep out Hackett from an acute angle.

Randall fired a free-kick over the crossbar before the Imps carved out a great opportunity with Mandroiu firing wide of the near post after an initial block from Knight.

Draper sent an effort over the bar from close-range on 72 minutes while Ryan De Havilland fired over on the half volley from 30-yards at the other end.

As the game entered stoppage time, Ethan Hamilton side-footed inches wide with his left-foot with Clarke-Harris seeing a long-range strike gathered by the keeper.

In the end, the game ended 0-0 with Posh disappointed with their performance, particularly in the first half.
