Posh have learned two of the three Vertu Trophy group opponents following the initial draw in the competition.
Peterborough United will face Sky Bet League One side Leyton Orient and Sky Bet League Two outfit Crawley Town in Group F of the Vertu Trophy following the first part of the draw.
Posh will learn their final opponent, the Under 21 side, on Thursday when the Carabao Cup and EFL fixtures will be released.
Details of which games in the group will be at home and away will also be confirmed on Thursday.
