The Beeches Primary School

Covid-19 restrictions not stopping Posh duo as they close in on 100 Primary School assemblies.

We are fast approaching Christmas and Bobby Copping, who delivers the interactive assemblies, and special guest Peter Burrow have visited over 80 schools, engaging with future fans, providing a fun start to the day and handing out FREE tickets to a forthcoming Sky Bet Championship fixture.

Whilst a large proportion of games at the Weston Homes Stadium include a sizeable travelling away support, the club have identified a number of fixtures where supporters occupying the Deskgo Stand are from the Schools Initiative including the Boxing Day meeting with Reading.

The duo have currently completed 82 school assemblies with a mixture of in person and on zoom deliveries and are on track to hit 100 before mid-January, restrictions permitting.

Copping said: “We have now reached the total of 82 Primary Schools that we have conducted an assembly for and we have a few more to do before the schools break up for Christmas.. Some schools have preferred us to do them across Zoom, which we have been happy to do.  The assembly features a short DVD, plenty of fun and interaction, a visit from Peter and much more and we give every school that we visit tickets so that all of the pupils can attend a match at the Weston Homes Stadium free of charge and that includes one adult too!”
