Posh Academy Director Dan Robinson has confirmed two permanent appointments within the staffing structure.
Peterborough United Academy Director Dan Robinson has confirmed that Hugh Alban-Jones is now the permanent Lead Under 18s Coach after a spell in interim charge following the summer departure of Jimmy Unwin.
Alban-Jones, who was the assistant to Unwin, took charge of a number of pre-season fixtures and has made a positive start to the new campaign with league draws with Coventry City and Colchester United a 6-3 cup success over AFC Wimbledon.
Meanwhile, Frankie Fry has been appointed as the club's new Academy Pathway Lead, working with our full-time training model players from Nene Park Academy and the talented youngsters through the age groups to the Professional Phase.
Robinson said: "Frankie comes with a wealth of experience working in non-league football and has worked with us for a number of years as a part-time coach. He has an unbelievable pedigree from his father and we are delighted he is joining us on a full-time basis.
"Hugh Alban Jones will continue in the role of the Under 18s Professional Development Phase Lead Coach, taking over from Jimmy Unwin. He was brilliant in the interim role during pre-season, managed the team exceptionally well with their induction into professional football and we are really looking forward to how he progresses with that age group, taking them forward and continuing the great work that Jimmy had done.
"Hugh is an exciting and high-potential coach who has worked with us for a number of years and came through our system as a player. He has a bright future ahead of him as a coach."
