Posh can confirm the arrival of goalkeeper Fynn Talley with the young shot-stopper signing a two-year deal.
Peterborough United have added to their goalkeeping ranks ahead of the new campaign with the signing of Fynn Talley on a two-year contract and he will compete alongside summer signing Nicholas Bilokapic and Academy graduate Will Blackmore.
Talley featured in pre-season for Posh, going away with the squad to St. George’s Park and was in between the sticks for the 4-1 victory over Bedford Town on Tuesday night. Talley, who started within Arsenal’s Academy before joining Brighton and Hove Albion at the age of 16, is looking forward to the opportunity.
“I have settled quickly. I have obviously been training with the group for a little while and playing in the games, but it is great to get everything sorted and I am really looking forward to the opportunity that I have at the club.
“It is a good young group of goalkeepers at the club and hopefully we can push each other, and I have no doubt we will work well together. For me, this is my first real opportunity of being in a senior men’s dressing room. It is an exciting time with the season just around the corner,” Talley said.
Manager Darren Ferguson added: “I am happy with the goalkeepers we have at the club. Fynn has done well, he as a lot of potential. We have brought him in from Brighton and he has played a few games for us in pre-season. All young players have areas where they can improve and learn and obviously if goalkeepers make mistakes they can be amplified, but he will be part of a strong unit and I think the three we have are a good trio.”
