Second half goals from Bolu Shofowoke and Chris Conn-Clarke secured a 2-1 victory for Posh in the first pre-season friendly.
Peterborough United secured a pre-season friendly victory over FC Magpies of Gibraltar in a behind closed doors fixture at the club's training base in Spain on Tuesday evening with Bolu Shofowoke and Chris Conn-Clarke scoring close-range second half goals.
Luke Williams fielded two different XIs, one in each half, and were in control for large periods with the first half team controlling possession for long spells without finding the killer instinct in front of goal, while the second XI were afforded more opportunities in front of goal.
SHOFOWOKE headed home from close-range following a corner kick that Posh kept alive before CONN-CLARKE swept home from close-range after finding space in the box.
There were other chances with Harry Leonard heading over summer signing Evan Weir curling a free-kick just wide of the target. Conn-Clarke was denied by the keeper while there were some good blocks by defenders.
FC Magpies did pull a goal back a couple of minutes after Conn-Clarke's effort, but other than that, they were well marshalled by the Posh back-line.
Posh are next in action against Saudi Pro League side Neom SC on Friday evening at the Banus Football Center (7pm, Spanish time).
