Posh joined forces with Smyths Toys to help spread festive cheer at the Amazon Children's Ward at Peterborough City Hospital.
For over twenty years, Peterborough United have helped spread festive cheer at the Amazon Children's Ward at the Peterborough City Hospital and this year was no exception with the club joining forces with Smyths Toys to drop off presents for youngsters.
The club, in partnership with the Posh Foundation, visited the hospital last week to drop off a host of presents with a sizeable donation from the toy store in Boongate, Peterborough.
Chief Executive Dawn Gore, who was present for the visit, said: "We are grateful to Smyths Toys for all their help and support in helping with our annual visit to the Amazon Ward.
"I saw first hand last year on my first visit as CEO how much of an impact our visits make and although circumstances this year didn't allow for us to go onto the ward, we know that the gifts will make a big difference."
Peterborough Smyths Toys Store Manager Martin Lawrence said: "We’re absolutely buzzing at Smyths Toys to be working with Peterborough United Football Club to help spread smiles at the Amazon Children’s Ward. Seeing the joy on the children’s faces makes it all worthwhile!"
Mascot Peter Burrow, Head of Media and Marketing Joe Fletcher and Community Manager Emily Purbrick were part of the visit.
