Posh are back on the road this weekend with a trip to Port Vale in Sky Bet League One action (Saturday, 3pm).
Peterborough United return to Sky Bet League One action on Saturday afternoon with a trip to Staffordshire to face Port Vale (3pm) with Luke Williams' side looking to make it three wins in a row following back-to-back 2-1 victories over Reading and Northampton Town.
The clash with The Valiants is the 1,500th away league fixture in the club's history with Posh set to play their 3,000th league game on Boxing Day when Leyton Orient visit the Weston Homes Stadium.
Vale picked up a creditable 2-2 draw against Luton Town at Kenilworth Road last time out and despite being at the foot of the division, they have been catching the eye with some of their performances.
TEAM NEWS
Posh are without Rio Adebisi and Sam Hughes due to injury, while Peter Kioso is suspended after collecting his fifth booking of the season in the win over Northampton Town.
Tom O'Connor is back in full training and could return to the squad while Jacob Mendy and Cian Hayes are two also nearing a return to the first team squad after stepping up their training.
Liam Gordon, Jordan Gabriel, Mitch Clark and Ben Garrity remain sidelined due to injury while Funso Ojo came off against the Hatters early due to injury.
ONE TO WATCH
Ronan Curtis
Vale’s number eleven began his career playing for Derry City in Ireland, before making the move to Portsmouth. Whilst at Portsmouth, he earned himself seven appearances for the Ireland national team. He signed for Vale following six months at AFC Wimbledon. Curtis (pictured below) can operate as a winger or as a central striker and tends to have purple patches when it comes to goals.
MANAGER QUOTES
"Port Vale are not a team that look defeated, they picked up a good point at Luton Town, they tend to start games well and we have to make sure we are on it from the first whistle. The incentive is there for us to make it three wins in a row and we know in this league, if you can do that you can start moving up the table. We have moved out of the drop zone and that was important for the players, but we are only looking at what is in front of us on Saturday," Luke Williams said.
TICKET NEWS
Just over 700 tickets have been sold in advance of the game at Vale Park. Tickets are now off sale from the Weston Homes Stadium Ticket Office, but fans are able from turnstile 29 (card only) with no price increase on the day.
