A look ahead to Saturday's Sky Bet League One trip to Plymouth Argyle for Darren Ferguson's Peterborough United side (3pm).
Ahead of this weekend's mammoth trip to Plymouth Argyle, the Peterborough United squad and supporters had already clocked up just under 1,800 miles in the five away games in all competitions this season, so an additional 564 mile round trip won't come as a particular shock to those making the trip down to the South West on Saturday.
As manager Darren Ferguson eluded to in the pre-match press conference - 'at least the main bulk of the travelling is out of the way early', but it should be noted what a challenging start it has been to the campaign.
Of course, Posh go into the game on the back of a first win of the season with Wycombe Wanderers defeated 2-1 at the Weston Homes Stadium. The Chairboys parted company with their manager Mike Dodds on Thursday.
Plymouth have had a slow start to the campaign themselves, but did win at Luton Town last time out - a notable 3-2 success at Kenilworth Road.
TEAM NEWS
Midfielder Ben Woods is back in the squad after recovering from a hand injury which has kept him on the sidelines since his move from Accrington Stanley.
Declan Frith is set to undergo a scan to get the all-clear to return to training next week so misses out - as does Abraham Odoh, who is pencilled in for a return in the next two weeks. Sam Hughes and Rio Adebisi remain absentees with injury.
Plymouth will be without the suspended Joe Edwards for the clash with Posh after he was dismissed against the Hatters while boss Tom Cleverley was also shown a red card for dissent.
ONE TO WATCH
Lorent Tolaj
The Greens activated a substantial release clause for Tolaj (pictured below) in August 2025, and he joined the club on a four-year deal.
The Swiss youth international started his journey at FC Sion, before a move to Brighton’s youth teams. He was prolific for their U18s and U23s but was released at the end of his contract.
He joined Aldershot Town upon his release and scored 21 goals in 48 games for the Shots which earned him a move to Vale, where he scored 16 goals in his debut season to help them to League Two promotion.

MANAGER QUOTES
"Plymouth have had a slow start, like ourselves, but they have more points on the board and that is in part down to the fact they have changed their system to three at the back. Both sides will be evenly matched in terms of the shape and we know that we have to play well, but there were signs against Huddersfield and we took that into last week's game with Wycombe Wanderers. It is a long trip, but we will go down on Friday, we are training at Bristol Rovers, so that will break up the journey," Darren Ferguson said.
