Today marks a significant moment for the English Football League (EFL) and Panini, as they unveil the first-ever sticker collection to feature players from all 72 Clubs across the Championship, League One and League Two.
The launch of the collection was celebrated with a special event at the National Football Museum in Manchester. Current and former stars of the EFL were in attendance, including one of the League’s all-time leading goal scorers, Doncaster Rovers striker Billy Sharp, Chesterfield and former Northern Ireland international Will Grigg and Blackburn Rovers captain Todd Cantwell. EFL legends Troy Deeney, Clinton Morrison and Adebayo Akinfenwa also entertained the crowd with stories of their playing days and their own memories of Panini sticker collecting.
Club representatives of EFL Clubs were also in attendance to celebrate as the album was exhibited at the museum for all to see.
Panini, the world leader for published collectables, has included over 788 stickers within the collection, featuring stats and facts on each team, stunning shiny crest and captains, fabric kit stickers, plus rare ‘Elite’ and ‘Key Player’ items. This collection promises endless excitement for fans everywhere.
The collection is the EFL and Panini’s first in nearly 20 years and will be stocked in 8500 stores around the country. From today, fans can begin their journey of collecting and trading these iconic stickers featuring EFL stars past and present. Collectors will be able to kick-start their sticker collection with an EFL starter pack, which includes an album and 5 packets of stickers.
