Peterborough United are delighted to announce the signing of Harrogate Town winger Abraham Odoh for an undisclosed fee, with the 23-year-old penning a three-year deal in PE2 after completing the formalities at the idverde Training Ground.
Odoh was involved in 14 goal contributions in Sky Bet League Two this season, reaching double figures for goals as Harrogate finished in 13th place in the table. The winger started his career in non-league before moving to Charlton Athletic. He spent two seasons with Rochdale before joining Harrogate in July 2023.
Posh boss Darren Ferguson was delighted to get the deal over the line and is excited to work with him. “He is a player we have been watching for a while now and has been one of the most consistent players at that level. He has real potential to develop, and we feel he is the ideal player to bring in following the departure of Ephron Mason-Clark.”
Odoh is looking forward to his new challenge and can’t wait to get started. “It has all happened quite quickly, but when I heard of the interest, it was obviously something that I wanted to get done because it is a step up for me and at a club that is always competing at the top end of the division.
“When I spoke to the manager, he outlined what he wants and how he sees me fitting in and I can’t wait to get started. I like to play football with a smile on my face, I like to try and make things happen in the final third.
“I enjoyed my time at Harrogate, it was a nice place to play my football, now I am looking forward to meeting my new team-mates and getting started here. I know Ephron Mason-Clark well, but I also know Kwame Poku and Romoney Crichlow. It will be nice to see a few familiar faces on my first day in! I am really excited about this move. This club are always fighting towards the top end of the division and I can’t wait to be a part of it.”
The deal will ratified when the transfer window opens in mid-June.
