Posh have boosted their defensive options with the addition of Wrexham defender Tom O'Connor.
Peterborough United are delighted to confirm the arrival of Wrexham defender Tom O'Connor on a season-long loan deal with the 26-year-old completing the formalities ahead of the deadline.
O'Connor has made over 200 appearances in his career to date and has multiple promotions on his CV. He came through the ranks at Southampton and can play as a left-sided centre back or in midfield.
Manager Darren Ferguson said: "Tom has three promotions on the bounce with Wrexham, that tells me everything I need to know about him. He is a left-sided centre half, can play in a back three or a four.
"He can play in midfield, has a lovely left-foot and is a proper winner. I couldn't turn it down when I knew he was available. He really wanted to come to us, which again, given where we are in the table, shows that we can still attract good players."
O'Connor has also featured for Gillingham and Burton Albion in his career and has previously represented the Republic of Ireland at Under 19 and Under 21 level.
O'Connor will link up with his new team-mates on Tuesday and we will bring you an interview with the defender on Posh+ later today.
