Peterborough United Women will turn their attentions to a trip to Northampton Town on Thursday evening (7.45pm).
October’s break from the Women’s National League is now a distant memory as Jake Poole’s side looks to further the gap at the top, at the O’Riordan Bond Stadium.
But it hasn’t been all quiet – the Adobe Women’s FA Cup has kept us busy in that gap, as we progressed into round two thanks to wins over Notts County in the preliminary, and then Real Bedford in the competition proper.
Jess Rousseau and Kira Rai have both scored hat-tricks in the knockout stages, seeing us through to the second round, past our tier three opponents.
The Cobblers are in the hunt for a new head coach since Josh Oldfield stepped down from his role, but the club has since seen a turning point, responding to previous defeats to make it through to the second round, also.
TEAM NEWS
Striker Tara Kirk continues her road to fitness, while Keir Perkins is another that didn't feature in the Adobe Women's FA Cup win over Real Bedford.
