Peterborough United are back in Sky Bet League One action on Saturday as Luke Williams' side travel to Sixfields to take on struggling Northampton Town in Sky Bet League One action (12.30pm).
Posh go into the game on the back of a 3-3 draw with Exeter City at the Weston Homes Stadium, while the Cobblers were beaten 1-0 by rock-bottom Port Vale at Sixfields.
That defeat against Vale heaped further pressure on manager Kevin Nolan with ex-Posh boss Darren Ferguson linked in some quarters as a potential replacement, although that was rubbished by the man himself.

Posh are without the services of Harley Mills, Tom Lees, Rio Adebisi, Matt Garbett and Ben Woods due to injury, but Garbett is nearing full fitness after an ankle injury.
Jack Vale is suspended for the hosts, while experienced winger Sam Hoskins limped out of the defeat to Vale and is doubtful. Jon Guthrie remains sidelined through a long-term injury.

Striker Tom Eaves became Northampton Town’s sixth new signing of the summer of 2024. The former Rotherham United man moving to Sixfields on an initial two year contract. The 6ft 5in experienced Eaves scored six goals in the Championship for the Millers in 2023/24. Eaves has scored 88 goals in a career that started with Oldham Athletic before moving on to Bolton Wanderers and included loan spells with the likes of Bristol Rovers, Shrewsbury Town and Rotherham United.
After spending a year with Yeovil Town, he joined Gillingham in June 2017 and scored 38 goals in 84 league games, in his two years at Gillingham in League One he was top scorer in both seasons and won the player of the season award before he moved on to Hull City where he netted 18 times in forty nine league starts prior to joining Rotherham United.

I think when it comes to local derbies, form goes out of the window, it doesn't matter too much how they got on in their last game, this will be different I am sure.
