The Club are delighted to announce that Nene Park Trust have become Official Club Sponsors as part of a three-year deal.
Nene Park Trust is the registered charity which looks after Nene Park in its entirety. Established in 1988 to ensure that the park would be managed and protected forever, the Trust looks after all maintenance, coordination of the park's activity programme and administration of commercial properties in the park.
Nene Park is a large area of park land to the west of Peterborough and is the region's favourite place to get outdoors and enjoy nature. It is made up of six different areas: Ferry Meadows, Orton Meadows, Orton Mere, Woodston Reach, Thorpe Meadows and The Rural Estate made up of parkland, meadows, woodlands and lakes. The River Nene runs through all the areas connecting them together.
As part of the deal Nene Park Trust will benefit from various brand exposure opportunities within the Weston Homes Stadium. Commercial Executive at the Club, Bobby Copping, commented on signing the agreement: “We are delighted to be welcoming Nene Park Trust on board here at the football club in an official capacity for the next 3 years and look forward to working with Jo, Lucy and the team!”
Nene Park Trust’s Head of Marketing, Jen Marscheider said: “Partnering with Peterborough United is a natural step for Nene Park Trust. We’re both committed to championing active lifestyles and the positive impact spending time outdoors has on both our physical and mental wellbeing. Through this sponsorship, we aim to reach football fans and their families, encouraging them to join in our events and activities and make the most of our wonderful greenspaces in Peterborough.”
