Kyrell Lisbie in action against AFC Wimbledon

Jimmy-Jay Morgan scored for the fourth game in a row as Posh withstood a lot of pressure to leave the capital with a point.

It might have included some slapstick moments at times, but it was a performance that yielded a point as Peterborough United left the Cherry Red Records Stadium with a 1-1 draw to move up to 12th place in the Sky Bet League One table.

Posh started the game well and scored when they were on top for a short period in the second half, but the rest of the contest was dominated by the home side, albeit helped by some strange defensive moments.

Alex Bass made a superb stop to deny substitute Omar Bugiel after a wayward defensive pass from David Okagbue while the same two players were involved in a helter-skelter moment as the defender's back-pass narrowly went wide after a slip from the goalkeeper.

Posh had an effort inside the opening 60 seconds of the contest as Kyrell Lisbie's low drive was well kept out by Joe McDonnell while Cian Hayes was a constant early threat.

However, the home side began to get on top and on 20 minutes, Marcus Browne hit the post with a controlled left-foot shot.

Archie Collins saw a free-kick hit the wall before Bass smothered the ball at the feet of Nkeng. On 35 minutes, the hosts had a goal disallowed for offside before Maycock headed straight at the keeper when well placed.

On 42 minutes, the home side did find the breakthrough as JOHNSON fired through a crowd and past Bass. Maycock fired over three minutes into the second half before David Kamara fired over after the keeper spilled a Brandon Khela cross.

Hayes and Collins saw efforts blocked before Peter Kioso's left-footed effort from 25-yards was saved. Just after the hour mark, Lisbie was denied by McDonnell after a good pass from Khela.

On 67 minutes, Posh did level the scores, Kamara picked out Hayes with an incisive pass and the winger unselfishly squared the ball for MORGAN who made no mistake.

Morgan has now scored against Northampton Town, Leyton Orient, Rotherham United and AFC Wimbledon in a row. Bugiel cleared the bar with a close-range effort before Bass produced an excellent stop to deny the same player after a poor pass from Okagbue.

The six minutes of added time was all the home side, Nkeng hit the outside of the post, Reeves was denied by Bass and fired wide, before a backpass from Okagbue rolled inches past the post.
