Stadium MK

Posh make the relatively short journey to Stadium MK on Saturday to take on Paul Warne's Milton Keynes Dons in Sky Bet League One action (3pm).

Peterborough United are back on the road this Saturday with a trip to Sky Bet League One newcomers Milton Keynes Dons (3pm) and Luke Williams' side will be backed by around 2,200 supporters.

The Football Club are extremely thankful for the tremendous support they will receive at Stadium MK with Williams describing the following as 'magnificent'.

Posh go into the game off the back of a 2-1 defeat to Sheffield Wednesday at the Weston Homes Stadium and there were lots of positives to take from that performance despite the defeat.

MK Dons picked up a point at Wycombe Wanderers after a pulsating 90 minutes with Warne's men coming from 2-0 down to lead 3-2 before Jaden Wareham's second half leveller.

TEAM NEWS

Posh are without the services of defender Tom O'Connor with the centre back limping out of the game with the Owls after 12 minutes due to injury. The length of time he will be out is yet to be disclosed.

Carl Johnston and Owura Edwards are in contention for a return after injury, but Sam Hughes, Rio Adebisi, Matt Garbett and Declan Frith are sidelined due to injury.

Callum Paterson is pushing for a start after making an impact from the substitutes bench at Adams Park while Dan Crowley, who worked under Luke Williams at Notts County, is also pushing for a place in the XI.

ONE TO WATCH

Aaron Collins

Aaron Collins (pictured below) has been in excellent form for MK Dons this season, with four goals and one assist from his six appearances. The 29-year-old moved to the Dons for a sizeable fee from Bolton Wanderers and helped the club achieve automatic promotion last season. Can play down the middle or as a modern-day wide forward, is a good dribbler and is good in the air.

FROM THE MANAGER

"I enjoyed my time at MK Dons even though it was difficult because of the pandemic at the time. They are a club with a wonderful infrastructure, they have an excellent stadium and we will be backed by our magnificent supporters. We are looking forward to the challenge they will provide and hopefully we can put in another strong performance, but this time hopefully come away with the result we deserve," Williams said.
