Stevenage v Posh

A look ahead to Tuesday’s Sky Bet League One fixture at Stevenage (7.45pm).

Peterborough United make the trip to the Lamex Stadium to face Stevenage in Sky Bet League One action on Tuesday evening (7.45pm) with Darren Ferguson’s men looking to build on the dominant 4-0 victory over Burton Albion on Saturday.

Steve Evans’ Stevenage side are enjoying an excellent start to life in Sky Bet League One and were 3-0 winners at Fleetwood Town at the weekend, a result that kept them firmly in the top six of the division.

TEAM NEWS

Posh are without the services of goalkeeper Will Blackmore due to injury, while Jeando Fuchs is set to feature for the under 21s at Coventry City on Friday with an hour pencilled in for the midfielder. Posh boss Darren Ferguson is reporting no other injury worries or concerns ahead of the clash in Herfordshire.

Stevenage could include five former Posh players within their XI with Dan Butler, Nathan Thompson, Carl Piergianni, Ben Thompson and Jordan Roberts all in their ranks. Ben Thompson was on target in that 3-0 win at Fleetwood and is expected to start.

ONE TO WATCH

Striker Jamie Reid (pictured below) is a man in form. The 29-year-old has already netted 15 goals in all competitions including five in his last four appearances. The former Exeter City front man is a quality finisher, has decent pace to get in behind and often carves out chances for himself in and around the penalty area.

FROM THE MANAGER

“Stevenage have enjoyed a really positive start to the season, but for me, it is not a surprise. I felt they would do well. They recruited well in the summer. I have worked with a few of their players and when they left us I knew they would be good signings for Stevenage. They will want to get the ball into the box, but they have a lot of quality in their side as well, they don’t just pump it forward, they can hurt you in the final third,” Darren Ferguson said.

TICKET NEWS

The game is a sell-out for Posh supporters with around 1,400 making the trip to the Lamex Stadium. Peterborough supporters can collect ticket from the Away Ticket Office, located next to the Club Shop.

Please do not purchase tickets in the home stands. Ticket Office staff will be checking postcodes upon entry, and any away supporter found in the home stands will be subject to ejection.
