A look ahead to final home league game of the season at the Weston Homes Stadium, with Bolton Wanderers the opposition (3pm).
Peterborough United conclude their home league campaign with a clash against Bolton Wanderers at the Weston Homes Stadium on Saturday afternoon (3pm) in Sky Bet League One action.
Both teams will be in League One next season, Posh securing their safety after a battling 1-1 draw with Barnsley at Oakwell on Easter Monday while the Trotters' faint play-off hopes were extinguished after a 4-2 defeat at Lincoln City.
TEAM NEWS
Manager Darren Ferguson has confirmed that goalkeeper Will Blackmore will start the remaining three games of the season. Nick Bilokapic is out after having an operation on his teeth, while Mahamadou Susoho and Rio Adebisi are definitely out.
Oscar Wallin will undergo a hernia operation before the Rotherham fixture on the final day of the season, but is available for selection for the clash with Bolton and the trip to Mansfield Town.
Emmanuel Fernandez has been ruled out of the game on Saturday with a knee injury, but could feature in the final two games of the season, but Ricky-Jade Jones is fit after overcoming tightness in his hamstring.
Tayo Edun is suspended while Cian Hayes is out for the season with an MCL injury. Bolton have injuries of their own to contend with Ricardo Almeida Santos definitely out.
Ex-Posh attacker Joel Randall could feature against his former club but he has found first team opportunities limited in recent weeks for the Trotters.
MANAGER QUOTE
"I want to sign off in front of our supporters with a win. I want to win all of our remaining games. Bolton are a side that were tipped to do well at the start of the campaign, but they have had a change of manager and in recent weeks after a good start, their results have dipped, which can happen. We have some injuries, we also have some players who will be leaving us in the summer that I would like to give the opportunity for our supporters to thank properly and there are players I want to have a look at, so I will factor that all in when I name my XI," Ferguson said.
ONE TO WATCH
Aaron Collins
On 1st February 2024, Collins signed for League One promotion hopefuls Bolton Wanderers for an undisclosed fee on a three-and-a-half-year deal. Having had an initial bid reported to be in the region of £600,000 rejected, the agreed fee was reported as £750,000.
Two days after joining the club, he made his debut from the bench in a 1–1 draw with Barnsley. Having been brought on in the sixty-third minute, he produced a sublime cross for Zac Ashworth to equalise with just his second touch of the ball, and almost won it for his new side late on. On 1st April 2024,
Collins scored a second career hat-trick in a 5–2 victory over Reading. On 25 September 2024, Collins scored a consolation goal in a 5–1 EFL Cup third round away defeat to Arsenal. On 12th April 2025, Collins scored his 100th professional career goal, a consolation in a 4–1 defeat to Barnsley.
