The Women face Doncaster Rover Belles in the National League on Sunday.

Peterborough United Women travel to the Keapmoat Stadium to face Doncaster Rovers Belles on the 4G surface in a FA Women’s National League Division One Midlands fixture on Sunday (2pm).

It has been nearly two months since the women last recorded a result in the National League after last weekend's game was forced to be abandoned on 70 minutes due to adverse weather conditions.

Doncaster Rover Belles also had wintery conditions on their trip to Holwell Sports on Sunday but managed to complete the full 90 minutes, which saw the Belles score in injury-time to nick the three points and lift them to second in the table.

Team News

Posh are without the services of midfielders Ellen Marson and Megan Parrett due to injury, with the former set to spend a lengthy spell on the sidelines. Katie Cooper is also unavailable for this weekend game after suffering an injury in training earlier this month.

Recent arrivals goalkeeper Amy Butler and midfielder Katie Steward could be involved in the matchday squad this weekend, with Steward making her debut last weekend against Boldmere St Michaels after coming on as a substitute.

From The Gaffer

We have quite a few players back from injury and now two more additions to the squad, so we have a good number of players from our squad to choose from. Belles are looking to be one of the promotion-hopefuls at the end of the season, they are bit more established and experienced in this league. They are a tough team to break down and have plenty of goals within their squad. We want to go there and give our all, but we are under no illusion how difficult of a match it will be.”

The Reserves

The reserves travel to Owen Street Sports Ground to face Coalville Town Ravenettes on Sunday afternoon (2pm) in a East Midlands Womens Regional Football League Division One South fixture. Daniel Bratcher’s side fell to defeat against Anstey Nomads Women while the hosts were beaten 7-1 by Nottingham Forest Women FC Development squad just under two weeks ago.
