Boldmere V Posh Women

Posh Women are on the road for the first time in 2025 this Sunday in their latest FA Women’s National League Division One Midlands fixture.

Peterborough United Women will face Boldmere St Michael’s Women at Amber Arena and Community Stadium on Sunday afternoon (3pm) with Jake Poole’s side looking to build on a positive end to 2024.

With the winter weather causing postponements last weekend, Posh last played back in December where they claimed a 10-1 victory over Lincoln City before the Christmas break.

The Mikes currently sit in fifth place with seven wins and one draw from 12 league matches. They entered the break in good spirits having won 3-1 against Sutton Coldfield Town.

Team News

Speaking to Posh+ ahead of the game, Poole confirmed that the winter break has allowed several players to recover from injuries and illnesses which had previously affected the squad. Midfielders Hannah Dawbarn and Macey Bannerman-Lloyd are side-lined with injuries, however defender Ellie York has passed her fitness test following a spell out with an ACL injury.

Boldmere recently announced the signing of attacker Chloe Finn from Sutton Coldfield Town, who could make her debut against the Posh this weekend.

From The Gaffer

“We made the most of last weekend’s postponement and had a really good session inside. Boldmere are a well organised team with experienced players. They’ve been at this level for a while and look to play a good style of football. I thought we dominated the previous game for an hour but we needed to be more clinical and put the game to bed earlier on, as it allowed them to grow into the game and equalise. We’re expecting another tough challenge against a strong organised team", said Poole.

One To Watch

Jannelle Straker currently leads the Mike’s goalscoring charts with 11 goals in 16 appearances so far this campaign.

Tickets are priced at £5 for adults and £3 for concessions.
