Posh make the trip to Mansfield Town on Tuesday night, the first of three away games in a row for Luke Williams' men.
Peterborough United are on the road on Tuesday night as they travel to the East Midlands to face Nigel Clough's Mansfield Town in Sky Bet League One action (7.45pm).
Posh go into the game full of confidence after a superb 6-1 win over Wigan Athletic at the Weston Homes Stadium on Saturday, while the Stags were held to a goalless draw by Exeter City.
It was their fourth draw in six games with games against Stevenage, Plymouth Argyle and Wycombe Wanderers also finishing without a winner.
TEAM NEWS
Posh are without the services of defenders Sam Hughes, Harley Mills, Jacob Mendy and Rio Adebisi, while midfielder Ben Woods is also unavailable for selection. Matt Garbett is set for a short spell on the sidelines as the club manage a foot injury.
Striker Victor Adeboyejo is pushing for a start after creating problems for the Grecians as a substitute last time out. The powerful front man has good experience in League One from his spell with Bolton Wanderers. Former Posh midfielder Louis Reed will face his former side. He netted twice in the cup win at Sheffield United in January.
ONE TO WATCH
Will Evans
Mansfield Town announced the signing of forward Will Evans (pictured below) from Newport County for an undisclosed fee in August 2024. Evans, who signed a two-year contract at One Call Stadium, joined after a prolific season with Newport County, netting 25 goals, including a memorable equaliser against Manchester United in the fourth round of the FA Cup.
The striker began his professional career at Cardiff Metropolitan University FC in the Cymru Premier, before joining Bala Town in 2020. He recorded double-digit goals in back-to-back seasons with Bala before catching the eye of the Exiles.
The Welshman made 45 appearances in his first year with Newport before emerging as one of the top strikers in Sky Bet League Two in 2023/24. Evans picked up Stags' Golden Boot award for the 2024/25 season, scoring 14 goals in Mansfield's first season back in Sky Bet League One.
MANAGER QUOTES
"Nigel Clough has been at Mansfield a long time and is a very successful manager, make no mistake, this is a tricky game for us to start a run of away games and this isn't a game where I would expect us to be as free-scoring as we were at the weekend. We need to do a lot of things well to come away with a positive result," Luke Williams said.
