Kyrell Lisbie

We are delighted to announce that winger Kyrell Lisbie has put pen to paper on a new long-term deal that runs through to 2030.

The 22-year-old completed the formalities at the Bespoke Builds Training Ground after an outstanding first campaign at EFL level with 20 goal contributions in all competitions including 11 Sky Bet League One goals.

Lisbie has flourished under the management of Luke Williams and Ryan Harley and credits their work with his upturn in fortunes after a slow start to life at the Weston Homes Stadium.

"I am really pleased. It makes sense. I am grateful for the faith shown in me by everyone at the club and it is down to me to make sure I work hard between now and the end of the season and build on what I have achieved on a personal level so far this season.

"It is my first season in professional football, everything has been a dream come true, I have assisted and scored goals and had some really memorable moments in a Posh shirt.

"I was desperate to do well, the first half of the season was tough for me, but when the new manager came in, that is where I felt it changed, both Luke and Ryan have put so much faith and trust in me. I can't really put into words how much they have done for me. I think I have been the same player from the start, but the confidence they have instilled in me has been the key.

"I can't thank them enough because I don't think it would be possible to sign this contract without the impact they have made on me. Hopefully I can continue to impact games and have a strong end to the season," Lisbie said.

Manager Luke Williams believes the new contract is reward for his contribution and is loving working with the 22-year-old. "It is refreshing to see hard work and performances equalling reward.

"Quite often, reward can be given as a defence and sometimes done as a way of protecting a potential asset, but this is good to see a young and hungry player go on the pitch, make positive actions, make big contributions, go out there week in week out regardless of whether they have a knock or not, and be recognised for that. I am really happy for Kyrell and I love working with him."
