Gustav Lindgren climbed off the substitutes bench to earn Posh a point in the final fixture of 2025.
Swedish front man Gustav Lindgren earned Peterborough United a deserved point against Reading at the Weston Homes Stadium and in truth, it should have been three points as Luke Williams' side created all of the chances in front of goal.
Lindgren was in the right place at the right time to sweep home from close-range following a low cross from skipper Peter Kioso and in the final 10 minutes, there were a plethora of chances for the hosts, but a combination of good goalkeeping and wasteful finishing kept the score level.
Matt Garbett fired over on 17 minutes as the first 25 minutes of the game was largely without incident, however, a bobble from a back pass led to a needless corner and KYEREWAAA stabbed the ball into the corner following a short corner.
Harry Leonard flicked a Ben Woods cross wide of the near post before the former Blackburn Rovers man headed over from another Woods delivery into the box.
There was a scramble just before the interval following an Archie Collins free-kick, but Posh went into the break, behind despite a late effort from Jimmy-Jay Morgan.
Leonard was superbly kept out by Pereira two minutes into the second half before Alex Bass kept out a low effort from Jack Marriott.
Garbett fired wide with his left-foot on 73 minutes following a short corner before Posh got themselves level as LINDGREN fired home from close-range after a fine cross from Kioso.
Moments later, Declan Frith was denied by the body of the keeper before Garbett saw a volley claimed. Garbett was inches wide with a low drive from 20-yards and a minute into injury time, Lindgren and Leonard both came close to finding a winner.
Right at the death, Bass did well to parry a Lewis Wing effort before Posh had another huge chance of their own but Lindgren and Okagbue couldn't force the ball over the line.
