Midfielder Meg Lawlor has joined AFC Stamford on a short term deal on a dual registration to gain minutes following her return from injury.
Peterborough United Women can confirm that Meg Lawlor has joined local side AFC Stamford on a short term dual registration to gain minutes following her recent return from injury.
The experienced midfielder, who recently committed her future to the club, will join the Daniels for an unspecified length of time to ensure she builds her match fitness up ahead of a busy spell of fixtures.
"This is a short term arrangement that is purely designed to get Meg some minutes as she missed the pre-season programme in terms of games. It is a perfect arrangement for all parties and we look forward to seeing her back with us on Matchdays soon," manager Jake Poole said.
Posh General Manager Sam Winch added: "Meg is a vital part of our squad, seeking more minutes on the pitch and giving her extra game time with Stamford will allow her the opportunity of doing so.
"Meg will increase her training load by continuing to be a huge part of our training sessions and Stamford's."
