We are pleased to announce one of the club's longest serving players has committed her future to the Posh Women for the 2025/26 campaign.
Meg Lawlor, who has made a total of 161 appearances for the Posh Women, scoring 43 goals, becomes the newest member of Jake Poole's squad and could feature in Sunday's FAWNL Cup tie with Cambridge United at PIMS Park.
The midfielder has been training with the club as she nears full fitness after recovering from injury, which saw her miss the pre-season campaign.
Manager Poole is delighted to add Lawlor to his squad: "Meg has been with the club a long time and brings plenty of experience to the group. She was one of the most consistent players last season, played the most minutes of all of the outfield players and adds a lot to our squad.
"She has had a tough off season, but has worked extremely hard to get back to fitness and we are looking forward to having her in the squad."
Lawlor said: "I have made many memories already at this football club and I am excited to make some more! It has been a frustrating start to the season for me with injury, but I am looking forward to getting started and helping the team."
Lawlor sits in second place in the Posh Women's all-time appearance makers, with Keir Perkins leading the way and Jessica Stanford in third place.
Meg's home sponsor is Love Nails by Caroline and we thank them for their support. We have three players left for sponsorship, please email sam.winch@theposh.com for more details.
