Ejiro Abbey earned Posh Under 21s a point from their latest Professional Development League fixture with Brentford.
The Peterborough United Under 21s secured a point from their latest contest with Brentford at the Weston Homes Stadium with Ejiro Abbey continuing his fine form with an excellent late equaliser.
Sam Gaughran's side had the better of the clear-cut opportunities in the game with Abraham Odoh denied by the goalkeeper and other chances going over the crossbar.
The visitors had opened the scoring through Jamie Redknapp's son Beau who finished off a fine move with a clinical finish. Bastian Smith made a smart stop to keep the score at 1-0 by his near post.
Posh began to get on top of the game as it progressed and got a deserved leveller when Abbey cut inside and curled a fine effort into the corner a minute into stoppage time,.
Gaughran was pleased with his side's application against a strong opponent. "Brentford are a good side, they have good rotations and I thought we did well to restrict them to very few opportunities.
"I think we more than deserved a point out of the contest. Ejiro is in good form, he scored a lot of goals in non-league so we know he can play down the middle and he scored a good goal."
