The Posh Women can confirm that forward Tara Kirk has departed the club after close to 100 appearances, joining fellow Tier 3 side West Bromwich Albion.

Kirk (23), who scored 55 goals in 96 games in all competitions as the Peterborough United Women moved through the pyramid, was part of the squad that secured automatic promotion from FAWNL Division One Midlands last term,

The former Leicester City striker scored the winner in the 3-2 win over Boldmere St Michaels in the last month of the season and departs the club with our thanks and best wishes.

Kirk said: "I have really enjoyed my time at the club, it has felt like a real family. It has been great to get to know the supporters, who have been brilliant with me, and to finish my career here following last year's promotion feels a great time for a new challenge."

Manager Jake Poole said: "Tara has played a massive part in the growth and success of Peterborough United Women and we are grateful for her contribution, not just on the pitch, but as a terrific team-mate and person to have within the squad.

"We wish her all the best in her new challenge and I have no doubt she will add value to a squad wherever she goes in the future."

We would like to thank Tara for her contribution to the club and wish her well in the future.
