Action between Posh and Lincoln City

Posh were beaten 3-0 by Lincoln City in Sky Bet League One action at the Weston Homes Stadium.

Peterborough United suffered a disappointing 3-0 defeat to Lincoln City at the Weston Homes Stadium as the Imps continued their fine run of form, bringing the feel-good factor after two successive wins for Posh to an abrupt end.

Adam Reach scored a fine free-kick and second half goals from Tendayi Darikwa and substitute Justin Obikwu put the gloss on their performance as Posh slipped to defeat.

It was a quiet start to the game with few chances at either end and it was the Imps who found the breakthrough from a set-piece, REACH firing a free-kick past Alex Bass and into the corner.

On 24 minutes, Posh struck the post as the in-form Morgan cracked the base of the woodwork after a good pass from Matt Garbett.

Archie Collins headed wide on 34 minutes as Posh created another half chance in front of goal.

On 59 minutes, Lincoln doubled the lead as DARIKWA arrived at the back post and fired across Bass and into the back of the net.

Morgan fired wide on 61 minutes after a deep cross found the on-loan Chelsea front man in space at the back post.

On 85 minutes, the visitors added a third goal as a Hamer long throw caused panic and substitute OBIKWU was left all alone to head home from close-range.
