Posh suffered a late defeat to Huddersfield Town at the Weston Homes Stadium despite producing a fine fight-back in the second half.
Football can be a cruel mistress. By manager Luke Williams' own admission, his side were second best for an hour against promotion-chasing Huddersfield Town at the Weston Homes Stadium, but goals from Kyrell Lisbie and James Dornelly drew Posh level, only for substitute Cameron Humphreys to fire a fine winner for the Terriers.
The visitors had long spells of control prior to Lisbie's goal, not in terms of chances, but certainly possession with Posh struggling to breakdown a stubborn Terriers back-line.
Goalkeeper Alex Bass produced the first save of the game, beating away a low stinging drive from Marcus Harness while at the other end, Harry Leonard headed over after a good Posh move involving Carl Johnston, James Dornelly and Cian Hayes.
Sorensen fired into the side-netting on 13 minutes after a swift counter-attack before a flurry of Posh bookings.
The deadlock was broken on 26 minutes as SORENSEN fired low across Bass and into the bottom corner. A minute into the second half. the visitors extended their advantage as a corner was met by BALKER and his header found the back of the net.
Dion Charles nearly made it 3-0 before Posh made some changes and those changes made an impact with Posh halving the deficit on 65 minutes as a Hayes cross was flicked onto the woodwork by Leonard and LISBIE snaffled the rebound.
JJ Morgan fired wide after a sharp turn on the edge of the box before Posh drew themselves level as a free-kick from Garbett was met at the back post by DORNELLY.
However, three minutes from time, HUMPHREYS was allowed to cut inside onto his favoured left-foot and he rifled a fine effort into the back of the net from just inside the box.
