After two recent postponements delayed the return to competitive action following the festive break, the Posh Women welcome Notts County to PIMS Park on Sunday afternoon (2pm).

Midfielder Kayleigh Hines, who was subject to recent interest from a club higher up the football pyramid, is excited to get back out onto the pitch after a hugely positive first half to the campaign.

“I made the move to Posh because of the ambition the club showed and the exciting project ahead and that hasn’t changed. While I am grateful and incredibly flattered by the interest shown, my focus remains on contributing in any way I can to help this club continue to succeed.

“We had a really good first half to the season and while it has been frustrating that our last two games have been postponed due to the weather, we have been working incredibly hard in training to get ourselves ready for this weekend’s game with Notts County.

“I joined the club halfway through last season and was welcomed so brilliantly by everybody. I saw how talented the group was in the second half of the campaign last year and I am loving being part of the group.

“We are in a good position in the league table, we have games in hand and our focus is just on looking after ourselves, we can’t look at what other teams are doing, we just need to retain the standards that we have set ourselves,” Hines said.
