The Posh Women have strengthened their options ahead of the new campaign with the arrival of former Loughborough Lightning midfielder Alice Higginbottom.
The 22-year-old, who featured in the win over Queens Park Rangers last weekend, has also featured for Stoke City and manager Jake Poole is delighted to have her on board.
"Alice is a player that, as a coaching staff, we have admired for a while. She brings tremendous work ethic and a desire to improve and is blessed with lots of natural ability. We are looking forward to working with her," Poole said.
Higginbottom is excited by the challenge ahead and can't wait to get started. "I am super excited to sign for Posh! Already knowing the management staff, it felt exciting to continue my development under them.
"I really like the direction that the club is heading in and I can't wait to get started." Higginbottom scored nine goals in 30 appearances for Loughborough and follows in the footsteps of Romy Saunders, Ellie May, Crista Ganado, and Camille Jenkins in arriving at the club in the summer.
