Club Historian Peter Lane pays tribute to former player Mark Hine, who sadly passed away this week.
It is with deep regret we hear of the passing of former midfielder Mark Hine. Mark’s first Club was Whitby, he then turned professional with Grimsby Town October 1983, from there he joined Darlington in 1986 appearing in over 150 games, helping Darlington to get back into League Football.
Then Posh Manager, Mark Lawrenson, signed Mark in January 1990; he played up to season 1990/91 making a total of 66 appearances in all competitions scoring seven goals. In March 1991 he left to join Scunthorpe. Mark was a very hard working midfield player. We send condolences to his family from all at Posh.
