Manager Darren Ferguson was pleased his side have been given a home tie in the Emirates FA Cup first round.
Peterborough United manager Darren Ferguson admitted he was happy that his side have been given a home draw in the Emirates FA Cup with fellow Sky Bet League One side Cardiff City set to visit the Weston Homes Stadium.
Confirmation of ticket details and when the game will take place will be announced in due course. At present the TV companies are finalising which fixtures they will select for live coverage.
"You always want a home draw, so we are pleased with that. I actually feel it is a good game, regardless of when it takes place, it should be a good atmosphere because I think Cardiff will travel well.
"I think it will be a proper cup-tie, everyone will say 'we could have got an easier tie', and of course on paper we could have, but if for me, it is a good game for us and one we can look forward too.
"We played them on the opening day and a lot has changed since then, our team has changed a lot and it will be a completely different game. Obviously our focus is on the league games in front of us, that is our priority right now," Ferguson said.
