Luca Christoudias

The Posh Under 18s recorded an impressive 2-0 victory over Sheffield United in Professional Development League action on Saturday morning.

The Peterborough United Under 18s put in one of their best displays of the season to collect three points from their encounter with Sheffield United at the Bespoke Builds Training Ground.

An own goal and a well-taken effort from Luca Christoudias secured the victory, leaving Lead Under 18s Coach Hugh Alban-Jones a happy man.

"I am very happy with the result, but more so the performance. The lads played very well in the first half and we scored two good goals. The first might go down as an own goal, but Cordell Morgan-Antonio delivered a really good ball into the box and the defender wouldn't have been forced into the error if Kurtis Simmons was not lurking just behind him.

"The second goal is a really well taken effort, we managed to keep the move alive, sustained the attack and then Luca showed excellent technique to find the corner. He has added that to his game, that ability to provide a threat on goal.

"We knew at half-time that Sheffield United would throw absolutely everything they had at us in the second half, but we stood up to that and fought hard for the win. Sheffield United are a tough team to play against, so happy for the players."
