The Posh Women made it four wins from four in league action as goals from Keir Perkins and Evie Driscoll-King earned a 2-0 victory over Sheffield.

Driscoll-King, making her 100th appearance for the club, converted a second half penalty to add to a first half strike from skipper Keir Perkins as Jake Poole's side collected all three points on a wet afternoon at PIMS Park.

Posh were dominant for long spells in the game, particularly in the first half and opened the scoring inside five minutes as PERKINS fired into the corner with her left-foot.

Niamh Connor had a number of headers from Lauren Wilshaw corner kicks, but failed to get her efforts on target while defensive partner Anna Pitt also went close.

Courtney Clarke fired wide from distance with Wilshaw also seeing a goalbound shot deflect wide of the target.

Clarke was denied by a fine stop by the Sheffield goalkeeper three minutes into the second half, the stinging drive pushed away from danger.

Posh were awarded a spot-kick on 55 minutes when Connor had her shirt tugged in the box and DRISCOLL-KING stepped up to convert from 12-yards.

Neive Corry made a smart stop down by her near post following a rare Sheffield foray into the Posh box with Sheffield ending the game strongly, a shot whistling past the post on 88 minutes.

However, Posh were always in control and claimed their fourth maximum of the campaign with a tricky looking October to come in FAWNL Division One Midlands.
