The Posh Women made it three wins from three with a battling 1-0 victory over Hull City Ladies at the home of North Ferriby FC on Sunday afternoon.
The Peterborough United Women moved up a place in the Northern Premier League table and extended their advantage over the bottom two with a third successive league win and the second clean sheet in three.
Evie Driscoll-King continued her impressive goal contribution return with the winning goal, heading home a Lauren Wilshaw corner kick in the second half to secure an impressive three points on the road.
It wasn't a game full of clear-cut openings, but Jake Poole's side always looked in control as the Posh boss chalked up his 51st win in charge with skipper Keir Perkins making her 250th appearance.
Perkins saw a left-footed effort deflected over the top on nine minutes with Ellie May unable to head on target at the back post from a Grace Bartlett corner kick two minutes later.
Lynskey guided an effort wide for the home side after timing her run into the box expertly as the home side tried to assert themselves on the contest.
However, the half chances kept coming the way of Posh with May firing over from distance, Bartlett testing the goalkeeper from 20-yards and Driscoll-King glancing a header from a corner wide.
May fired over on 54 minutes before the deadlock was broken and it was the reliable delivery of Wilshaw that did the damage, her corner superbly headed home by DRISCOLL-KING at the near post.
Wilshaw was denied after a fine run just after the hour mark before Neive Corry kept out an effort from an acute angle. Posh introduced Kayleigh Hines after confirming she had reversed her retirement decision at the end of last season, joining Charlotte Steggles in helping to see the game out.
In fact, Posh could have added to their tally with Camille Jenkins going close after a superb individual run. After four minutes of added time, the referee brought an end to the contest as Posh celebrated another success.
