Posh head to the Eco-Power Stadium to face Doncaster Rovers in Sky Bet League One action on Saturday (3pm).
Peterborough United make the trip to the Eco-Power Stadium to face Grant McCann's Doncaster Rovers on Saturday looking to bounce back from their first defeat under manager Luke Williams.
Stevenage moved to the top of the table with a 1-0 victory at the Weston Homes Stadium on Tuesday evening - the only goal of the game coming from the penalty spot meaning Posh have yet to concede from open play under their new boss.
Doncaster drew 0-0 with Stevenage last time out and are generally playing better than their results suggest after a recent slump in form following a bright start to the campaign.
TEAM NEWS
Posh remain without the services of Rio Adebisi, Sam Hughes, George Nevett and Cian Hayes due to injury, but there were no fresh injury worries from the defeat to Stevenage.
Matty Pearson is expected to miss out for Rovers, but they are unlikely to make wholesale changes to their side following the hard-fought goalless draw at the Lamex Stadium last Saturday.
ONE TO WATCH
Billy Sharp
Sharp's 258 league goals makes him top for goal-scorers in the top four leagues in English football. He is renowned for his exploits as a poacher across English football. He has also spent most of his career in the Yorkshire region, spending time at Scunthorpe, Hull, Leeds and famously Sheffield United. Sharp (pictured below) is now in his fourth spell at Rovers, after an initial signing on loan in 2009 before joining permanently in 2010. A second loan spell came in 2014 before a transfer in 2024 after leaving Hull City. After 57 goals so far within these four spells, Sharp will always want to score more.
MANAGER QUOTES
"Doncaster are a very solid, well organised League One team. Sometimes you approach a game and you will look at the opposition and their main focus might be on defending or it might be attacking. Doncaster are pretty equal, they want to score goals and cause you problems at the top end of the pitch, but they are also difficult to score against at the other end," Luke Williams said.
TICKET NEWS
Tickets are now off sale in advance for the game, but supporters are able to pay on the day at the Eco-Power Stadium. Around 1,800 tickets were sold in advance.
