The first pre-season game takes place in Leicester on Saturday, which meant the final day of the training camp involved just one session on the grass.
Darren Ferguson's men were in game preparation mode on Day Five of their training camp at St. George's Park with the emphasis on shape and set-pieces ahead of the clash with Sky Bet Championship side Leicester City.
The two sides meet at City's plush training ground on Saturday lunchtime and Ferguson and his coaching staff were looking at ways to hurt the opposition as well as prevent the Foxes causing problems the other way in the only session of the day on the pitch.
The session, which was in the middle of pre-hab and a gym workout, was certainly high on output and manager Darren Ferguson described it as 'a good end to a good week.'
"We have been to St. George's Park a couple of times before and we are are always well looked after, the facilities are superb, the food is good and the pitches are excellent.
"We have had a good week, the players have worked hard, they have done a lot of double sessions and now we look forward to the game against Leicester City.
"When you organise a training camp, it is about bonding as well as hard work and the new lads have settled in really quickly," Ferguson said.
