The Posh Under 18s are back in Professional Development League action on Saturday morning as they travel to Crewe Alexandra (12pm).
Following last Sunday's terrific 5-0 victory over Lincoln City in the first round of the FA Youth Cup, the Posh Under 18s return to Professional Development League action on Saturday with a trip to Crewe Alexandra.
It will be a different group of players that will be on duty against the Railwaymen with a number of Under 16s returning from a trip to the Netherlands where they faced Ajax and AZ Alkmaar.
TEAM NEWS
Posh will freshen their team up for the clash with Crewe with a number of players set to be rested following their excursions in the Netherlands as well as the Youth Cup success against the Imps.
FROM THE MANAGER
Lead Under 18s Coach Jimmy Unwin said: "Crewe are a really good footballing side, everyone knows they are a club that produce really good players from their Academy. It will be a tough game, but one that we are looking forward too.
"We will make changes and freshen the group up, it definitely won't be the team that was on duty against Lincoln. It is a good opportunity for others."
PLAYER SPOTLIGHT
Luca Christoudias has earned plaudits for his recent performances. Unwin was quick to sing his praises and gave credit to coach Hugh Alban-Jones for the work done with the midfielder.
"Luca is a very intelligent footballer, we compare him a lot to Archie Collins in terms of the style he plays. Hugh has done a lot of individual work with him. He has got himself into great physical condition and playing well, he just needs to keep progressing."
