The pre-season fixture between Colchester United and Posh will now take place behind closed doors at the club's training ground.
Peterborough United's pre-season friendly with Sky Bet League Two side Colchester United will now take place behind closed doors at the club's training ground.
The fixture with Danny Cowley's men was due to take place at the JobServe Community Stadium at 3pm on Saturday, but has been moved to protect the pitch at the Essex club.
U's Chairman Robbie Cowling explained about the change of venue, saying: "Moving the game away from the stadium isn't something we wanted to do.
"But after the extensive work that has been done over the summer, both under the surface with the drainage and on the surface itself, a decision had to be made to benefit us for the season ahead and to not have a repeat of last season's postponements."
Supporters who had purchased match or parking tickets for this weekend's game at the JobServe Community Stadium will have these refunded to the account they paid with. Supporters are advised to email ticketing@colchesterunited.net if they have any questions about refunds.
We will provide coverage of the game on social media as normal, but there will not be a stream for this game.
