Posh are back in pre-season friendly action on Saturday as Luke Williams takes his squad to the Jakeman's Community Stadium.
Peterborough United travel to Lincolnshire to take on Enterprise National League side Boston United in a pre-season friendly on Saturday (3pm) with Luke Williams' side unbeaten in the four warm-up games played so far.
A 2-1 victory over FC Magpies was followed up by a 0-0 draw against Saudi Pro League outfit Neom SC, before an entertaining 3-2 win at Sky Bet League Two side Colchester United earlier this week. A youthful Posh XI then won 1-0 at Peterborough Sports on Wednesday evening.
TEAM NEWS
The squad that was on duty at the JobServe Community Stadium on Tuesday night is expected to be on duty against the Pilgrims with Tom O'Connor, Rio Adebisi and Sam Hughes continuing their own pre-season programmes. Declan Frith remains sidelined with a broken foot.
OUR OPPONENTS
Boston finished 12th in the National League last term and have caught the eye with some notable close-season signings under manager Paul Hurst with 22-year-old defender Jake Rooney joining this week despite interest from clubs higher up the pyramid.
Boston also added experience with the arrival of former Chesterfield defender Jamie Grimes. The 35-year-old, who spent a hugely successful loan spell at the Jakemans Community Stadium between February and April, has put pen-to-paper on an initial one-year deal to become a permanent addition to the United squad. His arrival bolsters a backline which has already welcomed George Ward, Lewis Shipley and Sai Sachdev this summer.
