Darren Ferguson’s men have beaten Stamford, Bedford Town and Leicester City so far during the campaign with a 1-1 draw against Colchester United and defeats against Premier League side Luton Town and Peterborough Sports.
The Blues will provide a stern test for Posh ahead of the season opener at Reading on Saturday 5th August (3pm) and there will be a familiar face in the City line-up as they secured the signature of Siriki Dembele from AFC Bournemouth during the summer.
Ahead of kick-off on Saturday, there will be a minute’s applause as a mark of respect for former Blues boss Trevor Francis who sadly passed away this week. Both sides will wear armbands. Posh Director of Football Barry Fry, a former manager of Birmingham City, will be presented with a long-service award.
