AFC Wimbledon

Posh are back in the capital on Saturday with a trip to South-West London.

Peterborough United are in Sky Bet League One action on Saturday as Luke Williams' side travel to the Cherry Red Records Stadium, with AFC Wimbledon providing the opposition (3pm).

It is the second successive Saturday where Posh have made the trip to London and they will be hoping for a better result than they achieved at Leyton Orient with the O's winning 2-1.

AFC Wimbledon have enjoyed a strong campaign following promotion from Sky Bet League Two, but were beaten by Orient in their last fixture, going down 4-2 at the Cherry Red Records Stadium on Tuesday evening.

TEAM NEWS

Posh do not have any fresh injury worries to contend with following the 5-0 win over Rotherham United on Tuesday night, but it is unlikely that Tom Lees and Ben Woods will be risked with next week's game against Mansfield Town postponed.

Rio Adebisi, Sam Hughes, Donay O'Brien-Brady, Matt Garbett and Harry Leonard are definitely unavailable for the game, while Carl Johnston is expected to miss the rest of the campaign with a calf injury.

James Tilley is unlikely to return following an injury sustained against Northampton Town but the experienced Patrick Bauer is pushing for a recall to the starting line-up.

ONE TO WATCH

Matt Stevens

A proven goalscorer at League Two level, who previously won the title with Forest Green Rovers. Matty Stevens (pictured below) turned down a potential career in Boxing to pursue his dreams of becoming a footballer, going on to become Barnet’s youngest ever player and scorer in a national competition.

He scored on his competitive Wimbledon debut against Colchester United, slotting away a penalty to help them on the way to an eventual 4-2 win at the Cherry Red Records Stadium. Stevens is a former Posh front man who didn't really get too many opportunities to shine in the first team.

MANAGER QUOTES

"Generally, our away form has been good, but obviously more recently,  we have come out on the wrong side of the scoreline and we definitely need to be more ruthless in the final third. It was brilliant to win the game in the manner that we did on Tuesday night against Rotherham United and we need to take the positives from that performance into this game," Luke Williams said.
