The Posh Under 21s are in action on Bank Holiday Monday at AFC Bournemouth (12pm).

The Peterborough United Under 21s will look to maintain their unbeaten start to the Professional Development League season when they make the long trip to the South Coast to face AFC Bournemouth on Bank Holiday Monday (12pm).

Lead Under 21s Coach Sam Gaughran will have a younger group at his disposal for the clash with the Cherries with first team manager Darren Ferguson set to have a practice game involving his squad on Tuesday.

TEAM NEWS

With a Premier League Cup tie at Arsenal on Tuesday for the Under 18s, Gaughran will be without the serivces of striker Bolu Shofowoke, who scored in the 18s defeat at Watford on Saturday.

Joe Andrews is expected to get minutes in what will be a squad largely made up of young professionals and trialists. 

FROM THE COACH

"It is always a tough game whenever you travel down to Bournemouth. We have faced them multiple times at various age groups over the last few seasons and you know it will be a challenge for the players," Sam Gaughran said.

OPPOSITION

Bournemouth have won both their opening matches, a 2-1 success away at Wigan Athletic and a comfortable home victory over Huddersfield Town.
